The Soccer as a Global Phenomenon Conference examined globalization through the prism of soccer. It was convened by Francesco Erspamer, professor of romance languages and literature, Harvard University; Cemal Kafadar, Vehbi Koç Professor of Turkish Studies, Harvard University; and Mariano Siskind, professor of romance languages and literature, Harvard University.
