Abstract:

After experiencing the world's largest corruption scandal and the country's worst economic crisis, Brazilians voted in what many have called "the most important elections since redemocratization." In this panel, three of Harvard's experts on Brazilian politics review the first round results, tell what they are watching for in the second round vote, and discuss the meaning of these elections for the future of democracy in Brazil and Latin America.
