The Tuesday Seminar series brings together Harvard faculty and graduate students, visiting scholars, and scholars from institutions around the world to present their research and discuss the current state of Latin America. Relevant topics this semester include the impacts of COVID-19 in Latin America, the environment, racial relations, and democracy and political elections in the region.
The series is cochaired by Alisha Holland, assistant professor of government; Frances Hagopian, Jorge Paolo Lemann Senior Lecturer on Government; and Steven Levitsky, David Rockefeller Professor of Latin American Studies and professor of government. This series is presented by the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, in collaboration with the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, the Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia University, and the Afro-Latin American Research Institute.
