Durba Mitra Receives Roslyn Abramson Award

Faculty Associate Durba Mitra, Assistant Professor for the Committee on Degrees in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality, is one of the recipients of the 2019 Roslyn Abramson Award. Every year the award is given annually to assistant or associate professors for excellence in teaching undergraduates at Harvard—based on accessibility, dedication, and effective student communication. Mitra says she will use the stipend to "continue research on her upcoming book, which explores Third World feminist political thought during the second half of the twentieth century," according to the Harvard Gazette
