The Weatherhead Scholars Program at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs invites Harvard College sophomores, juniors, and seniors to apply for positions as paid research assistants. The scholars and fellows are visiting scholars, postdoctoral fellows, and practitioners (diplomats, military officers, and business professionals). The Center may hold workshops run by graduate students to teach undergraduate research assistant candidates specific skills such as Excel, SSCI, LexisNexis, JSTOR, Stata, PowerPoint, OmniPage Pro, HeinOnline, EndNote, and WordStat, among others.
Students are paid at an hourly rate of $15.00 per hour.
Who is Eligible
Harvard College sophomores, juniors, and seniors who wish to work with the Weatherhead Scholars Program, and who have an interest in international affairs, are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with some prior experience with either research assistance or research methods.
Students may spend up to five hours per week assisting a scholar with various tasks such as conducting library and online research, summarizing and analyzing research materials, and proofreading and editing written work.

• a detailed resumé, including previous research experience and language skills;
• one letter of reference from someone who knows you well, preferably a faculty member; and an
• official Harvard College transcript.
