This seminar is open to the public.
In 2013–2014, the Africa Research Seminar examines mechanisms of peace-building in sub-Saharan Africa from cross-disciplinary perspectives. The seminar invites scholars, public figures, and experts in practice-based fields to present their ongoing work two to three times a semester, with an emphasis on participatory discussion following the presentation. Sarah Dryden-Peterson, assistant professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, chairs the seminar. It is co-sponsored by the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and the Committee on African Studies at Harvard University.
