The Weatherhead Center disseminates a number of high quality scholarly papers each year through its Working Paper online database collection. The Center seeks substantial research papers containing new analysis and/or new empirical material. Manuscripts are assessed on the basis of their scholarly qualities—the extent of original research, the rigor of the analysis, the significance of the conclusions—as well as their relevance to contemporary issues in international affairs.
Who Is Eligible
Weatherhead Center Faculty Associates, as well as graduate students, visiting scholars, Fellows, and affiliates are encouraged to submit papers to the Working Paper Series.
Faculty Associate submissions are accepted without peer review and can be kept in their original format. Working Papers submitted by other Weatherhead Center affiliates will be reviewed by a designated senior affiliate of the Center before final acceptance into the series.
Manuscripts should range between twenty-five and eighty double-spaced pages and must include an abstract of 150 words or less. Authors should forward an e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word to the Publications Department at email@example.com.
Copyright and Editing
The author retains the copyright on each Weatherhead Center Working Paper. The author is solely responsible for the final editing of accepted papers but can choose to have the Publications Department copy edit the final draft.
